Here you will find useful information for making your way from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Starum and contact information.
Making your way from the airport
When travelling to Norway you will arrive at the main airport, Oslo Airport Gardermoen, just north of Oslo. The airport has only one terminal, so it should be easy to find your way. You will be picked up at the airport by personnel from Starum wearing a grey uniform.

The cars picking you up usually are white and marked with “Sivilforsvaret” (‘Civil Defence’ in Norwegian) and the UNHCR sign. Some other cars may also be used, but all cars will be marked with the UNHCR sign in the windows.

The cars will be available for the transfer to Starum on Tuesday 14/06/2011 afternoon (time will depend on the arrival schedules). Please note that as the flexibility of transportation from the airport to the Training Centre in Starum is limited, the arrivals will be grouped. Therefore you must be prepared to wait for a common shuttle at the airport.
Participants are required to arrive in Oslo – Gardermoen airport latest on 14/06/2011 afternoon.
For return flights, participants are requested not to leave before the end of the workshop. Therefore, as cars will also be organised to give you a lift to the airport, return flights should be booked for after 18.00 (GMT +1) on Friday 25/06/2011.
Emergency contact
If some how you should need to come in contact, or need assistance in any way, you can contact Starum by telephone using this number: +47 61 14 10 00. This is the main telephone number to Starum, and is served by the switchboard during office hours (0745 – 1545) and our on site guard the rest of the time. You will always find someone answering this number that can help you with your problems.
Language
Most Norwegians speak English sufficiently to help you, and you can also find help if you speak any of these languages: German, French and sometime Spanish. Most Norwegians are helpful if you need help, so don’t be afraid to seek help.
Weather
It is recommended to bring some warm clothes and rain clothes in addition to summerclothes. But as always we are positive that the weather will be better when you arrive.
